Tropicalia Magazine Issue 06

Text:

I love to see our own progress. We have reached the sixth issue of Tropicalia Magazine! A few days ago we celebrated carnival so why not use this celebration as a theme for this issue? Real life carnival celebrations, especially Venice Carnival, inspire and entice us to recreate the same in Second Life. Check out great looks created by the dearest Laylinha Tomsen, MokaTana Boa, Stu Reyes and Vick Spitteler in “I <3 Fashion”. Vick also presents us some of the new releases of our “Tropicalians” in “Newsphere”. Discover also four blogs not to be missed in “Blogsphere”. Silton Mindes went to one of the most visited lands of the moment and it has everything to do with our theme: Venexia. If you want to know Venexia, grab a visitor's tag, as it is an RPG land. And don’t forget to take a look at the selected pictures in “That Tropicalia Feeling”.

Tropicalia Magazine Issue 05

Text:

This fifth issue explores the unconscious and surreal on fashion and in the Sims of Second Life. Many artists are influenced by Surrealism -- an artistic and literary movement that rocked the art world in the 20´s. Check out great looks composed by the dearest Laylinha Tomsen, MokaTana Boa, Stu Reyes and Vick Spitteler in “I S2 Fashion”. Vick presents us some releases of our “Tropicalians” in “Newsphere”. Discover also four blogs not to miss in “Blogsphere”. Silton Mindes, inspired by Surrealism, finds the best horizon on Cadeling Garden. And don’t forget to take a look at the selected pictures in “That Tropicalia Feeling”. A big kiss to all and happy reading!

Tropicalia Magazine Issue 04

Text:

New year, new magazine and much news in this fourth issue! I’d like to welcome Ananda Shostakovich and MokaTana Boa. Both are fashionistas who will share with us beautiful looks in our “I ♥ Fashion” feature, together with Laylinha Tomsen, Stu Reyes and Vick Spitteler. Speaking of fashion, why not think about Pin-Ups as inspired by the Vintage Fair, the biggest event at the end of last year!

Tropicalia Magazine Issue 03

Text:

I vibrate with each edition of this magazine released. I am very happy to get to the third edition with a subject that I love. One of the themes that I like most and which inspires me is the photography inside Second Life. Since I’ve known myself as an avatar, I’ve worked with photography in SL.

And even though I feel I’m still kind of a noob in this area, I can still recognize great talents. Around me are a dozen inspiring and favorite artists. It´s because of these photographers / designers that I am inspired to talk about the importance of fashion photography in Second Life.

Tropicalia Magazine Issue 02

Text:

Before starting this editorial, I want to thank everyone for the fantastic love and great reception that our first edition received! Surely those good feelings will motivate us to continue on to do the best job for you. September was the month of fashion in Second Life. Some members of the Tropicalia Bazaar participated in the fashion shows at the fantastic Modavia Fashion Week 2011.

Also in September, Linden Lab held a chat between professionals, bloggers and residents about fashion in their official forum and blog, the Second Life Fashion Experts. Our fashion editorial is filled with delightful looks prepared by fashion lovers for fashion lovers. By the way, some of those lovers were part of the Second Life Fashion Experts. Isn´t this amazing ?!
